How can people from different countries and cultural backgrounds understand one another? At the “Meet Confucius” Gen Z Youth Roundtable, Yeganeh Tavakoli, an international student at Renmin University of China, connects the poet Saadi’s idea that all of Adam’s children are brothers with Confucius’s vision that all within the four seas are brothers. Even when our perspectives differ, she believes we can still come together, exchange ideas, and understand one another’s cultures and histories.
